THE second Endsleigh Senior County match sees Cumbria face South Yorkshire on Sunday.

The game is to be played on Levens BC with a 2pm start, and card markers and supporters are welcome.

Cumbria are looking to bounce back after a narrow 27 shot loss in their last game against the Potteries.

NETHERFIELD A have worked hard to move up from 10th place in week two of the Kendal and District bowling season to second place this week. They jumped ahead of Levens A by winning at home 7-3 against Bowness A as they try to peg back the 18-point lead which Holme A have built up following their 9-1 home win against Victoria A.

In Division Two the top teams are bunched together at the top, with Burneside A holding onto the top spot by the skin of their teeth after a strong 7-3 win at home to newly promoted Ambleside B.

DIVISION One Rothay Bowling league leaders Levens A were given a scare at Bowness A before running out the winners by a 6-4 scoreline.

Second placed Crosthwaite were well beaten at Staveley A 8-2, giving Leven Valley B the chance to replace them after an impressive 7-3 win at Coniston A .

In Division Two, Lindale and Langdale are separated by only four points after both had convincing wins.
