WITH a third of the season completed the Rothay Bowling League entered June with Division One leaders Levens A unbeaten after eight games, and holding a commanding position since their latest 10-0 home triumph against Burneside A.

Crosthwaite and Leven Valley B produced excellent results with both winning 9-1 against Coniston B and Levens B respectively.

Another 10-0 home win was recorded by the undefeated Lindale, who strengthened their position on top of Division Two.

Staveley B and Windermere continue to impress after winning their matches 8-2.

Meanwhile Burneside A won the Rothay Bowling League Division One Knockout Competition by 12 points ahead of Lower Holker A in the final.

Coniston A and Hawkeshead A were the beaten semi-finalists in the competition at Langdale Bowling Club on Sunday.

AFTER eight weeks of bowling Holme A’s impressive 54 individual match wins out of a possible 64 matches shows they are dominating Division One of the Kendal and District Bowling League this season.

This week their good form continued not only at home but away at Netherfield B with a 9-1 success.

The other top teams continue to battle for other top places, with second-placed Netherfield A producing good form away at Holme B after a 6-4 win and third place Levens A winning 6-4 at home to Windermere A.

Lower Holker, Burton and Burneside A are all battling at the top of Division Two, while Arnside A are keeping their eye on promotion hopes as they won at home against Allithwaite B to keep Division Three leaders Levens B in their sights.

NETHERFIELD A produced an astounding 8-0 win over Bolton-le-Sands in the South Westmorland Seniors Bowling League to put them up to second.

Warton A are just one point clear despite a 7-1 triumph over Netherfield B, while Silverdale A dropped off the pace after they lost 6-2 to Windermere A.
