RETIRED Bolton-le-Sands vicar the Rev Tom Maidment led the Diocese of Blackburn’s Carols for Fun event at Whalley Abbey.
The service was attended by around 100 people from around the diocese - twice as many as last year.
Also attending was Archdeacon John Hawley, the Archdeacon of Blackburn and Gill Dyer, vicar of Whalley.
Whalley Abbey plays host to a variety of events throughout the year. It is also a venue for weddings and other functions. Visitors can also stay overnight to take advantage of the Abbey’s bed and breakfast accommodation.
See the Whalley Abbey website for more about the venue as well as events coming up in the next couple of months.
