POLICE are appealing for witnesses to two fail-to-stop collisions which occurred less than an hour apart near Market Street, Dalton.
The first incident took place sometime between 7.15 and 7.30pm on January 22, between a dark-coloured Mercedes Benz and and unknown vehicle.
The second incident took place at around 8.25pm between a silver Peugeot 308 and another vehicle, on Tudor Square in the town.
The second incident caused damage to the wing mirror of the Peugeot.
The drivers of both unknown cars are now being sought.
"We do not believe the incidents are linked," said a spokeswoman for Cumbria Police.
