A CUMBRIA farmers’ survey has discovered that older farmers are just as keen to use the internet to help their business as young ones.
Becca Newby, of Cumbria Farmer Network, said: “The survey was designed to help us find out how farmers gather information or research ideas. We initially thought mainly younger farmers would be making use of the internet regularly to find useful tips and information from other farmers and specialists, but in fact, more than half of the respondents were over 40 years old.”
