IT has reached that time of year when I start to panic. The sun has started showing through the clouds but it is still that little bit chilly.
So many questions go through my head. Can I ditch my winter coat? Can I wear no tights? Is it warm enough to wear a summer dress? It really can get to me...
The most difficult decision lies with the winter coat though. It is still that little bit too cold to throw on a summer jacket but there is a perfect solution...don’t worry!
At the top of my spring survival list is...the trench coat. An item that quite frankly should be in every woman’s wardrobe. You can throw it over spring outfits when it’s rainy or cold, wear it as a casual coat when the sun is shining or even throw over your party dress.
It adds instant chic to everything. Less is more when it comes to a trench, so skip the embellishment, save the classic buttons and belt. While camel or khaki is tried-and-true colours, navy and grey will work for a modern spin. I have always longed for the classic Burberry trench coat and I know in my heart one day I will have one in my wardrobe but in the meantime I’ll stick to the High Street. A
nd good old M&S has some beautiful classic coats to get me very excited. This navy impeccably tailored trench coat is a bargain at £60 and equally fabulous is this classic beige number for £79. I am starting to feel calmer already...
