CHARITY fund-raisers at a caravan park have amassed a four-figure sum for two local good causes, which help to save the lives of visitors.
Staff at Skelwith Fold Caravan Park, Ambleside, handed more than £700 to the Great North Air Ambulance and £600 to Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue.
Director Henry Wild said that the park’s off-the-beaten-track location meant that it felt a special affinity with the work of the air-ambulance and mountain rescue services.
