AN ULVERSTON real ale has been launched at the Fisherman’s Hotel at Baycliff overlooking Morecambe Bay.
Wolf Warrior is the latest Cumbrian beer to be produced by the award-winning Stringers Brewery of Ulverston.
The 3.5% pale ale was served for the very first time at the unveiling.
It is named after the ancient Cumbrian town of Ulverston which derives its name from the old Norse surname Ulfarr, meaning Wolf Warrior.
Brewed by Jon Kyme, the new brew has been produced for Independent Lakeland Breweries, part of the Cumbrian food and drinks suppliers Grapevine and Caterite, based at Embleton near Cockermouth.
