IT is a truth universally acknowledgded that every woman needs a good pair of fitted jeans.
Any female, I am sure, will be well acquainted with the misery and exhaustion required by jeans shopping.
But positive thinking is the way forward, and though I am ever in search of a that-bit-better fitting pair of jeans, I am happy to say I have found a cut that actually fits.
Unfortunately for me though, I have settled upon the rather expensive make of Levi’s at about £80 each, but the investment is worth it.
They have a range of jeans divided into Bold, Demi, and Slight Curves to suit curvy, straight and those-in-between legs, and they are the only jeans I’ve ever found that take into account a woman’s figure.
But if you haven’t found the perfect pair, there is hope yet thanks to a much-needed Denim Fit Clinic taking place at Davenports Fashion House in Wainwright's Yard, Kendal, today at 10am.
Julia Sawford is running the session designed to help women find the right style and shape of jeans to suit them.
She said research in Novemeber suggested 42 per cent of us wear the wrong size of jeans.
The clinic is the first of its kind in Cumbria and will be run by a professional jeans fitter, who will be on hand to provide the very best advice.
With styles for curvy, straight and petite figures and body shaping technology to lift behinds and flatten tummies, we should all be looking fabulous in no time!
