A SAFETY double has been achieved thanks to the efforts of workers at a division of the James Cropper papermill.
Staff who work in the ‘converting’ subsidiary of the company at Burneside have gone a full three years without a ‘lost time’ accident following the launch of a ‘proactive’ workplace campaign.
And to mark the achievement, they chose to hand their celebration reward of £400, given by James Cropper bosses, to a safety related charity - Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team.
