ARNSIDE Sailing Club is offering non-sailors a chance to get out on the water in a ‘Try Out Day’ this month.
The event is part of a Royal Yachting Association ‘Push the Boat Out’ promotion to get more people into sailing.
Alasdair Simpson, the Club's Sailing Secretary, said: "When the tide is in Arnside is one of the best places to sail in the area.
“There are outstanding views, a wide estuary in which to sail and more constant winds then in a lake.
“The Try Out Day is aimed at giving non sailors an opportunity to sail - you do not need any experience to join in the fun."
The event takes place on May 18 between 2pm and 4pm.
