A WALKER who fell from the summit of Great Gable and sustained head injuries was airlifted to hospital on Saturday May 31.
The woman, in her 50s, from Devon, was suffering from head and leg injuries when the Great North Air Ambulance was called at 12.45pm to assist.
She was flown to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out by police and 15 members attended the two-and-three-quarter hour rescue.
