Women play major role in farming
TWO reports have revealed the importance of women in farming.
A Barclays Agriculture report of 1,410 female farmers, found that women were becoming’ increasingly’ important to the success of UK farms – and new figures from the Office for National Statistics show the number of women farmers has swollen to 23,000 compared to just 19,000 male farmers.
