A MAN was airlifted to hospital after suffering a heart attack in Windermere today (August 8).
The Great North Air Ambulance (GNAA) was called to the aid of the 52-year-old when he was suffering the heart attack at 1030am.
The man, from Durham, was treated by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and a GNAA doctor before being flown to a specialist cardiac unit at Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
His condition on arrival at the hospital was said to be stable.
