SUNDAYS are often spent with family and should be merry.
But my weekend consisted of being told I wear ‘far too much black, far too much navy blue and far too much grey’.
It wasn’t exactly a wholly personal dig, but I soon realised my skin wasn’t as thick as I’d thought.
On the defensive, I protested and pointed at my bright pink shoes, my nearby colourful pashmina and to my poroxide blonde hair.
But in retrospect, I think they were right - and so too is my Wardrobe Winner.
Life is too short for black, blue and grey despite how flattering it seems.
So in light of this revelation, this week I’m zoning in on bold brights - and everyone has ‘their’ colour.
And in order to beat the autumnul blues, instead of hibernating in a wardrobe of gloom embrace the colours of the season.
The carousel of fashion can be difficult to keep up with - bikinis sold from January and winter warmers from July - so if you’re in need of a coat, get one now.
Marks and Spencer has an eye catching bright orange double breasted coat with cashmere at £120 - available in a range of bold colours.
This might seem expensive, but coats are an investment and this one could last for years.
Wear it with anything from skinny jeans and boots to dresses, tights and heels .
For work or day-to-day wear, The White Stuff has a pretty and playful ‘cranberry crush’ coloured knee length dress with a subtle ‘running horse’ pattern at £65.
Dress it down with grey woolly tights and Chelsea boots, or up with heels - tights or no tights.
