A PAIR of shotguns have been stolen from a bungalow in Underbarrow.
A spokesman for Cumbria Constabulary confirmed the weapons - a 12-bore Beretta and a 20-bore McNab Beretta - were taken sometime between 8.30am and 7pm on Thursday.
They were stolen after offenders forced entry to the house, before giving it a 'thorough search'.
"We would like to reassure members of the local community that we believe there is no risk to the public at this time," said Detective Constable John Hill.
"We appeal for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area that day to contact us.
"No matter how insignificant you may deem the information, it may help us with our inquiries."
Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
