A MAN has been rushed to hospital following what police have described as a 'serious injury' road traffic collision in Witherslack.
Officers say the incident occurred at around 1pm yesterday on a 'minor' road in the village, near Grange-over-Sands, when a dark green-coloured Landrover Discovery Two overturned.
The 51-year-old driver - the sole occupant of the vehicle - was trapped in the car until emergency services attended and cut him free.
He was treated by paramedics before being taken to the Preston Royal Infirmary by the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
He remains in hospital where he is being treated for head injuries.
Witnesses are asked to contact Cumbria police on 101.
