A SELL-OUT concert by the Burton Singers hit the right note for two worthy causes.
The North West Air Ambulance and Age UK South Lakeland both received £250 following the choir's Christmas performance at Burton-in-Kendal Memorial Hall. The charities have spoken of their gratitude to both choir and concert-goers for their generosity.
Ruth Taylor, Age UK's village agent, said the money would help to support village activities for the over-50s in Burton and Holme.
Meanwhile, the air ambulance service is to put the donation towards essential medical equipment needed on its helicopters.
