PORT Haverigg Marina Village in the Duddon estuary has been sold to one of the UK’s largest park operators.
The new owners are Wyldecrest Parks which owns 40 other holiday and residential park home sites across the country.
The multi-million pound sale will mean the 200-acre site will get an 'immediate' cash injection for development and upgrading.
Port Haverigg boasts 202 holiday homes, caravans, lodges, a beach and a 200 acre fishing and water-skiing lake.
“I’m really excited about bringing Port Haverigg into the Wyldecrest family,” said chairman Alfie Best.
“It really is a hidden gem in the Lake District."
