THE GREAT North Air Ambulance came to the aid of a young boy who suffered a leg injury after coming off his bike.
The incident occured on the Whinlater Pass, near Keswick, at 12.10pm today (Tuesday, March 24).
Air ambulance crews, along with Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, initially responded to reports of a serious leg injury but upon arrival it emerged that the injury was not as serious as first feared.

The patient, aged between 5 and 11, from Lancaster, was carried by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team to a waiting land ambulance before being taken to the Cumberland Infirmary.
