Vale of Lune's five-game unbeaten run in North Two West, came to an end at Lymm as domestic action took place despite Super Saturday in the Six Nations.

For long periods of the game the Vale were forced onto the back foot but their tackling was uncompromising, with Andrew Garnett and Danny Lin constantly in the thick of the action.

It was a real baptism of fire for debutant scrum half Ashley Bolsover, but the teenager came confidently through a testing game against second placed Lymm.
