VALE of Lune return to Powergen North West Two action when they travel up the M6 to take on Carlisle, who are just above the locals in the league with a three point advantage.
In the opening game of the season the Vale defeated the Cumbrians, 35-17.
Vale will play the remaining games of the season without the experience of John Bleasdale and Ian Bird, both players being sidelined with injuries.
After the Carlisle game the Vale will be at home to Broughton Park, who have become serious contenders for a play-off slot on March 31.
The league season ends at Bowdon on April 14. This fixture could well be crucial for the Cheshire side as they battle to avoid relegation.
Vale A pushed second place Waterloo all the way in a Bateman BMW Premier Division game at home, eventually losing 22-0, a final scoreline that slightly flattered the visitors.
Bolton 2nds ended the B team's unbeaten run of three games with a 26-10 victory at the Vale and the Vikings crashed 48-7 at Sandbach.
