Morecambe and District Junior Anglers will be signing up members for the new fishing season on April 22.
All will be welcome at the lake at Docker Park Farm, Arkholme, from noon til 2.30pm.
Instructors will be on hand to answer questions and anyone interested in joining will be able to have a go at fishing while they are there.
A representative from the Environment Agency has also been invited to attend.
Boys and girls aged between eight and 16-years-old are welcome to join, no previous fishing experience is necessary.
The membership fee will be £5, entitling members to free fishing lessons throughout the year and entry into club matches. The first lesson will be on May 5.
* The Environment Agency is reminding anglers in Lancashire that it's time to renew their rod licences.
"Fishing for salmon, trout, freshwater fish and eels in England, Wales, and the Border Esk in Scotland requires a licence from the Environment Agency. Failure to have a licence is an offence," says Environment Agency head of fisheries Dafydd Evans.
