AN array of classic cars, trucks, vans and motorbikes motored down to the Lakeland Motor Museum, Haverthwaite, for the attraction’s ‘Drive and Ride In Day’.
The event was open to the proud owners of classic cars, trucks, vans and motorbikes, as well as more recent hot hatches, superminis and high performance sports cars. More tan 140 were on show.
Attraction director Edwin Maher said: “Our Drive and Ride In Days are always very popular, attracting an array of iconic styles and bringing together people with a shared passion and appreciation for these magnificent machines. It’s great to give visitors of all ages the chance to come together for a diverse gathering of vehicles both old and new.”
Another motoring pageant takes place this weekend as the museum hosts a ‘Drive It Day’ on Sunday. Up to 150 vehicles are expected as part of this national day celebrating the best of the UK’s transport heritage.
