FITNESS fanatics took part in a community workout to raise cash for a new play park in Kendal.
Thirty people from Sandylands estate gathered at Sandylands Methodist Church for a fundraiser with a difference.
Led by Natasha Jones MBE and Kayleigh Jones, from Grange Fitness, the evening saw participants sweat it out and raise £145.
Organiser Debbie Briggs said: "I am ever so grateful that the community have got involved in our aerobics charity event. Natasha and Kayleigh brought a whole lot of energy and fun. Everyone is really excited and looking forward to helping to make a difference in our community."
Jonny Gios, community worker for Sandylands Methodist Church who is working with Sandylands Residents' Association to secure funding, said: "It was great to see so many people come together from the community, who are keen to make a difference for our children and young people. It’s what community is all about, bringing people together and supporting the interests of people on our estate."
The total now stands at £81,000. Residents are hoping to secure a few more grants before hopefully commencing work in the Autumn.
