MATALAN'S new store in Kendal will be officially opened by the town's mayor, Cllr Tom Clare, today (May 21).
The 20,000 square foot store on Queen Katherine's Avenue will create more than 35 new jobs.
It will host ladieswear, menswear, kidswear and homeware. The opening coincides with the 30th anniversary of Matalan unveiling its first store in Preston back in May 1985.

The first 50 customers visiting the new Kendal store will be in with a chance of winning anything from £5 to £100 to spend on opening day.
