GARDEN owners and enthusiasts raised more than £2,700 for Silverdale Village Institute and St John's Hospice, Lancaster, during Silverdale Open Gardens Weekend.
The charity event featured 14 gardens, four of them opening their gates for the first time, including 'undiscovered' grounds designed by celebrated Lake District gardener Thomas Mawson.
