A WOMAN was airlifted to safety after suffering head and arm injuries while walking on Helvellyn.
The 28-year-old, from Stratford-upon-Avon, fell into Brown Cove on the iconic mountain at 5.30pm on Sunday, May 24.

The Great North Air Ambulance crew treated her at the scene and lifted her to a waiting ambulance which took her to the Cumberland Infirmary where she is in a stable condition.
