A NEW walks leaflet has been produced by the Furness Line Community Rail Partnership ready for this summer.
The leaflet, which was launched at Grange-over-Sands station, features eight walks from stations along the line including walks in Barrow and Dalton at one end and Silverdale at the other.
It has been designed to match the popular “Discover Cumbria by Train” leaflet and is already being distributed by TransPennine Express and Northern Rail to stations across the North of England.
Cumbria Tourism, another of the funding partners, also have a supply of the new leaflets for distribution to tourist information centres. So far, 50,000 copies have been produced.
Work is continuing on a matching “Walks from the Lakes Line” leaflet and this will be launched and distributed as soon as it is ready.
