A WALKER escaped with just a suspected fractured ankle after falling 25ft off the shoreline cliffs at Silverdale, near Gibraltar Farm.
A number of team members from Bay Search and Rescue left a fundraising event to help the man at 2.20pm on Sunday.
Along with HM Coastguard Arnside team and the crew of the North West Air Ambulance Service they transferred the casualty to a stretcher and carried him to the NWAS helicopter for onward transport to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
