Julian Smith MP
THE recently-completed sports pavilion on the Recreation Field at Burton-in-Lonsdale is to be officially opened at 12.30pm on Saturday (Oct 10).
Among the guests will be Skipton and Ripon MP Julian Smith and the chairman of Craven District Council, Cllr Robert Mason. A Football Association representative has also been invited.
Cutting the ribbon will be long-time village resident Kathleen Salrein and Abigail Rollinson, daughter of the late Julie Rollinson, one of the founders of the Burton Regeneration Group, a project partner alongside the parish council.
The event will be followed by a Burton United football match, kick off 2.30pm.
