£90m contract awarded for major construction project at BAE Systems in Barrow
BAE Systems has awarded a £90 million contract to Morgan Sindall plc to develop one of the UK’s largest industrial facilities at the company’s submarine building site in Barrow-in-Furness.
The new building will sit at the heart of a £300 million transformation project to prepare for the construction of a successor to the Vanguard class submarine. It will offer a cutting-edge facility to fit out each section of the submarines before the build process is completed in the Devonshire Dock Hall.
