A KENDAL man was taken to hospital after falling off his bike in the Lake District.
The 52-year-old fell after hitting ice while cycling on the B5285 near Coniston Water at around 10.30am this morning.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called.
On arrival, a doctor and a paramedic team treated the man for hip and leg injuries.
The injuries were not deemed as life-threatening and he was taken to Furness General Hospital in Barrow by ambulance.
