THE flag will be flown above Kendal County Hall for a week starting from Monday (June 20) to mark a celebration day recognising the contribution Britain’s military make to national life.
Cumbria County Council will hoist the flag ahead of Armed Forces Day on Saturday June 25.
As well as marking the contribution of service personnel past and present, Armed Forces Day is also aimed at raising public awareness of the military and the roles they undertake in Britain and around the world.
