A MASTERPLAN for Levens village, featuring a new village hall and 21 new homes, has been approved by South Lakeland District Council.
Six separate applications, all on land owned by Levens Parish Council, have been given the go-ahead by SLDC planners. The existing Levens Institute is to be demolished, with a new hall built on land north of St John's Church.
Three affordable flats would be built on the site of the old village hall, and four affordable homes on allotments south of Quarry Foot, Underhill.
Meanwhile, eight homes are planned for Sizergh Fell Quarry, Levens; three for land south of Wayside Cottage, Cotes; and three more for allotment land north of the Hare and Hounds pub.
