UNEVEN paving stones at Carnforth's War Memorial Gardens have been levelled, Carnforth Town Council heard.
The resident who originally reported the pavement problem to the council is happy with the work, councillors were told.
Concern was expressed that a Lancaster city councillor - the recently elected John Reynolds - had consulted Lancashire County Council about the uneven paving without speaking to the town council first.
Councillors agreed it was necessary for city and town councillors to work together "to avoid repetition of effort and possible confusions". A meeting is to be held to decide the best way to work together "for the benefit of Carnforth".
Meanwhile, weeds at the War Memorial Gardens have been tackled, and delays in repairs to the War Memorial by Storah Architecture of Todmorden are to be discussed at a meeting.
