A petition to ban Donald Trump from visiting the UK in a state visit has reached more than one and a half million signatures in response to the US leader's controversial immigration clampdown.
The petition, launched on the UK Government's petition page on Sunday morning by Graham Guest, asks that President Trump be barred from making an official state visit "because it would cause embarassment to Her Majesty the Queen".
It reads: "Donald Trump's well documented misogyny and vulgarity disqualifies him from being received by Her Majesty the Queen or the Prince of Wales.

A Number 10 spokesman said: "An invitation has been extended and accepted."
Mr Trump signed an executive order halting the US refugee programme for 120 days on Friday, which indefinitely bans all Syrian refugees and suspends the entry of all nationals from Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Libya, Somalia and Sudan.
