THE Tudor era was brought to life for pupils at a north Lancashire primary school.
Children at Wilson's Endowed School in Over Kellet were immersed in a whole day of Tudor themed activities as part of a local history topic.
The day began with a workshop led by Elizabeth Dodd, an early music specialist. Elizabeth brought a wide array of instruments to show the children and performed traditional music of the time in full Tudor costume.
Around the school activities ranged from the construction of replicas of half timbered houses, stories of Shakespeare’s plays and artwork using fruit and vegetables based on the work of artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.
Head teacher Jo Williams said: "It was a wonderful experience for the children who got live and breathe life as a Tudor. Authentic music and dance really brought the Tudor era back to life in Over Kellet for a most memorable day."
