A KENDAL yoga teacher wants to help disadvantaged people to train as teachers themselves by offering bursaries.
Deyna Hirst is offering the bursaries to those on a very low income who are on their way to recovering from mental health issues or domestic abuse or who are disadvantaged young people.
Deyna's course includes all instruction, a course manual and supporting text book.
"It is aimed at those who have an interest in spiritual well-being as a precursor to health," Deyna said. "And are considering a fresh start or new possibilities for their future."
The bursary would be a 75 per cent discount, meaning the course is £250, with the option to pay £10 a month by standing order or direct debit for 25 months.
"This makes it a long-term commitment which I believe is healthy," she added. "As well as being a Yoga Master I am a qualified social worker and accept some people may need some additional support to complete the course which I am happy to give, but obviously they will also need to be motivated themselves."
If anybody would like to apply for this they can email deyna@innerfire.org.uk for an application form or ring me on 01539592614 to discuss.
