Easter is a great time of year and great fun can be had by you and your family.

With the warmer longer days that this time of year brings, as well as a much-needed break from school, time can be taken to reconnect as a family and get out and about to enjoy the beautiful area we live in.

When the weather is dry and sunny it makes for easy parenting, playing outside with water, sand, pebbles and chalk provides a relaxing way to spend a morning or afternoon, it doesn’t matter how big or small your outside space is – children just like to be out pottering about.

Picnics in the garden, in the park or alongside the river also provide a feel good factor.

If the weather is wet and cold or your children just feel like staying at home you could make your own Easter cards.

All that you would need is some card, paint, and some little hands and feet!

Foot and hand prints can then be converted into Easter chicks or bunnies.

Egg hunts can be devised by you with a couple of cheeky clues hidden in different parts of the house and garden, you can also use the ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ method to guide them towards the chocolatey treat! As children love a challenge this game can be devised quite easily and used to encourage team work, and number and colour recognition too.

Look out for organised egg hunts too and make a day of it. Whatever you decide to do – have fun!

HAPPY EASTER!
