SCOOTER enthusiasts rallied together to deliver Easter eggs and arts and crafts supplies to children at Croftlands Junior and Infant Schools, Ulverston, and Furness General Hospital's children's ward in Barrow.
The inaugural Cumbria Scooter Club Alliance's Easter egg hunt was organised by members Cath and Alan Irwin, of Ambleside, who wanted to do something charitable with some left over funds that the club had.
"We put so much money away each year for stationery and my wife said what can we do?" Mr Irwin said. "And a lot of scooters and bikers do Easter egg hunts to children's hospitals."
Around 80 scooters turned up and 60 eggs and containers filled with arts and crafts supplies were delivered to children.
"Just looking at their faces when they saw the Easter eggs - they were all smiles and the nurses were dead chuffed," said Mr Irwin. He added that a few 'special eggs' had been given to hospital staff as a 'thanks' for their hard work.
