MORE than 100 people came to watch Kirkbie Kendal School pupils perform at this year's Spring Concert.
Included in the programme was the Funky Futures jazz group, a flute and string group and a bassoon solo from Sam Wilsdon. The Year 7 rock band played a rendition of Seven Nation Army and the concert ended with a performance of Disco Inferno from the school's upcoming musical.
Refreshments were provided by pupils fundraising for a World Challenge trip to Mongolia.
Jen Donald, head of music at the school, said: "It was really successful. People liked the dance acts, it gave a bit more interest.
"The sixth form choir were really good. A lot of our students were in Year 13 so it was their last choir concert - so there were a few tears at the end."
The school's musical, Disco Inferno, will be staged at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal, from June 27 to 30.
