FORECASTERS have warned thunderstorms could hit Cumbria tomorrow.
The county has enjoyed a spell of warm weather, with temperatures hitting around 27 degrees celsius.
But the Met Office has today issued a yellow weather warning and there is potential for localised flooding, hail and frequent lightning.
An Environment Agency spokesperson said: "We do not expect rivers to react however smaller becks and streams may be more vulnerable to the intense rainfall."
They added there will spring tides over the weekend and that flood alerts are in force for north Morecambe Bay.
The highest tide is at lunch time Saturday and it is predicted there may be some flooding to low-lying land and roads in the Sandside and Arnside area.
