LAST week The Gate of Kendal opened its doors on Stramongate.
Previously known as The Dun Horse, the pub has been extensively refurbished.
At the start of June, The Westmorland Gazette reported that the Fell Bar would soon be opening on Lowther Street.

In March, real ale champions CAMRA hailed The Factory Tap in Kendal as a ‘hotshot innovation’ and named it the best pub in Westmorland.
And Cumbria Tourism has announced its finalists for Pub of the Year. Nominees include The Mason's Arms, Cartmel Fell; Strawberry Bank Kirkstile Inn, Loweswater; The Flying Pig, Bowness and the Three Shires Inn, Ambleside.
