A woman in her 70s suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash on the A6.
She suffered injuries to her chest, hip and ankle following the collision between a car an a van at Plumpton, just north of Penrith.

She was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle in a 20-minute flight, and arrived in a critical condition.
