At last, a set of attractive proposals for the eyesore and intrusive parking area in New Road at Kendal.
Walking across this area to the currently closed pedestrian bridge, to continue the riverside walk, is an unpleasant and sometime hazardous event.
Your report (Gazette, August 24, 'Parking free-for-all to end') mentioned the parking and safety issues, but ignored the great opportunity to create another section of riverside walk and a green area close to the town centre.
It should make Kendal a more attractive place for both residents and tourists alike.
