Television star Jeremy Clarkson has a new national water speed record at Coniston.
Taking part in Speed Records Week, Clarkson arrived in the national park by helicopter with Grand Tour co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May.
Clarkson was taking part in the experimental amphibious unlimited class, in which he set a new record of 47.81mph.
Records have been falling all week in a variety of classes. See tomorrow's edition of The Westmorland Gazette for more on the event.
