A JUNIOR girls football team in Kendal has been kitted out with new training tops.
Kendal United U11 girls have been sponsored by local stonemason, Ian F. Nicholson Ltd, of Kendal.
The jackets follow on from a new kit recently provided by Ginger Bakers of Plumgarths.
The club said: “We are extremely grateful to both these local businesses for their generosity - the girls love playing in their new gear.”
Kendal United U11 girls compete in the South Lakes Girls League. The Kendal team features several county players who recently took part in a 5-5 thriller away to Blackburn under the management of James Pattison, of Westmorland County Football Association.
Weather permitting, Kendal United U11 girls training takes place every Saturday mornings from 10.30am at Castle Park School, Sedbergh Drive, Kendal, LA9 6BE.
The club is always keen to welcome players along and has older and younger teams. To give it a try, telephone Geoff Rowlinson on 0774 772 5443.
