SERVICE has been suspended on the Transpennine Express southbound between Penrith and Lancaster this morning (December 7).
The disruption is as a result of an obstruction on the line at Oxenholme where some metal has fallen on the track.

Tickets are being accepted on Virgin Trains, Northern and CrossCountry services.
And Virgin Trains has announced that due to severe weather between Preston and Glasgow Central the southbound line is blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 90 minutes. Disruption is expected until 12pm today (December 7).
