JEWELLERY and money have been stolen in a 'high value' burglary in Burton-in-Kendal.
The incident happened on the A6070, in the St James' Church area of the village.
Between 12.30pm on December 31 and 3.20pm January 1, offenders have gained entry into a property by using a rock to smash a rear window.
They have taken a Michael Kors watch and money from the address.
Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who might have details of any vehicles or people they saw in the area at the time of the incident.
Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 quoting log 197 of January 1 or asking for PC 2353 Arrowsmith.
